This website is created to provide tools for researchers to use the adjusted EGP
class schema. The standard EGP class schema is also known as the Goldthorpe-schema or the CASMIN
schema.
In my PhD project, I have adjusted the EGP class schema to capture new social class cleavages
in the post-industrial societies. I distinguished two classes of high- and low-grade
social and cultural specialists and two classes of high- and low-grade technocrats
within the middle/service class.
If you like to use this adjusted EGP class schema in your research, you can find
the coding schemata under the research tools button.
