Conversion tools for the adjusted EGP class schema

On this page, you can find the conversion tools for construction of the adjusted EGP class schema (Güveli, 2006). We encourage researchers to use these tools in their research. Researchers who use the adjusted EGP class schema are kindly asked to cite the study as follow:
Güveli, A. (2006) ‘New social classes within the service class in the Netherlands and Britain. Adjusting the AGP class schema for the technocrats and the social and cultural specialists’. ICS-dissertation, Nijmegen.
Dataset contains ‘EGP class schema’
If your dataset already contains a variable ‘EGP class schema' and 4-digit ISCO 68, ISCO 88 and CBS 84 occupation codes, you can select the Class I and II of this schema and use the occupation codes for distinguishing the classes within the middle/service class.
Dataset does not contain ‘EGP class schema’
If your dataset does not contain a variable ‘EGP class schema’ but it contains 4-digit ISCO 68, ISCO 88 and CBS 84 occupation codes, you can use the conversion tools provided below to construct the adjusted EGP class schema. These tools are based on the conversion tools of Harry Ganzeboom (http://home.fsw.vu.nl/~ganzeboom/).
